Dr. Pushpalatha D. is one of the most senior Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Hyderabad. She set up a Maternity Hospital almost 40years ago in Hyderabad and that has being run successfully ever since. Women's health and wellbeing has been her passion all her life, and recognizing the need to keep abreast of developments in her field, Dr. Pushpalatha has pursued academic activities right through. She has undergone advance training in Laparoscopic Surgery in Germany and represented Indian academia in various scientific sessions & Conferences in UK, USA, Europe along with many South-East Asian countries.

Dr. Pushpalatha needs no introduction among her peers. She started her career in 1968 as the Honorary Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist at the Nilofour Hospital and Assistant Professor of Obstetric & Gynecology at the Osmania Medical College. In a career spanning almost four decades, her academic and social contribution has been lauded by specialists across the globe.

Dr. Pushpalatha is the President Elect of National Indian Society of Perinatologist and Reproductive Biologist (ISOPARB) Society (2008-2010), where she is the current she is the Vice President. She has Chaired the Family welfare committee of FOGSI (2005) and the 42nd All India Congress of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (AICOG) held at Hyderabad (1998). For ten years between 1999 and 2008, Dr. Pushpalatha was the FOGSI Coordinator of Adolescent Health Programme in Andhra Pradesh

Dr. Pushpalatha has been the Executive Member - editorial board of the Indian Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecologist (IJOG) in 2005 and has contributed chapters & articles to FOGSI publications.
