Can I have sex during pregnancy?
This is a question that is in the minds of many pregnant women. Having sex to get pregnant is one thing and sex after child birth is another. But having sex during pregnancy? It is common for women to wonder whether it is safe to have sex when they are pregnant. Your partner may also sometimes worry if sexual intercourse may cause you discomfort or pain. Concerns like these are common and completely normal, but most of them are unproven.

Unless your doctor advises you otherwise, sex during pregnancy is safe for you and your baby. The baby is protected by the Amniotic Fluid in your womb and by your abdomen.


You can continue to have sex during pregnancy right from conception to as far as a few days before childbirth, as long as you and your partner are comfortable.
