Two most important things that would help you achieve this goal are regular exercise along with a proper diet. Walking also can work wonders for maintaining good health and also lose weight around the hips, buttocks and thighs. Doing an aerobic workout and practicing yoga can also help you reach your goal. Regular exercise can prevent or delay some diseases like cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. It can also perk up your mood and help depression, too.

I would like to know more about you—are you stressed or worked up about something? Do you live alone or with family? I would suggest that you interact more with family and friends. In case you are working and not happy with your job, try for a change. I would also suggest that you introduce an exercise program into your daily routine—exercise is supposed to release endorphins, which make you feel good. Also, try doing what you like a lot... if you enjoy watching a movie, or going out, try it… take a break from your routine. In spite of all this, if you are still feeling low, you could meet a counselor. Venting your feelings will help a lot to make you feel better.

You will need to create a healthy lifestyle for yourself, first. Some of the basic aspects involved are diagnosing and treating underlying diseases or deficiencies, such as anemia, setting up a physical fitness routine, eating healthy food and having a balanced diet. Initially, you will need to normalize your body rhythm by trying to sleep a little early every day. A minimum of 8 h of sleep per day is essential for a healthy mind and body. So you will need to sleep at 10 pm if you wish to wake up at 6. You will need to lose a few kilograms of weight to reach your ideal weight for your height. You can try depending on coffee or herbal tea to wake you up in the morning and then slowly wean off them once you manage to establish a routine. It is not advisable to use any drugs to keep yourself awake as all drugs have some potential side-effects and risk of addiction. Keep fluid intake over 2 L per day and add vitamin C-rich foods to your diet. It would also be a good idea to stop using any nicotine-containing products or alcohol.

You can combine other exercises with yoga. Yoga, when combined with an aerobic type of exercise such as brisk walking or jogging can be a good way to maintain fitness. However, it is considered ideal to practice yoga before any other exercise as it will help you stretch and warm up your muscles, tendons and ligaments. It will also enhance your performance and help prevent injuries to joints and soft-tissues while doing other exercises.

Sedentary lifestyle may contribute to weight gain and can make you lethargic. You will need to create a healthy lifestyle for yourself, first. For this, you need to do three things—eat healthy, exercise regularly and get adequate rest. Neither should you go by fad diets or fasting, nor should you binge on junk foods, like pizzas and burgers. Eat food which is rich in fiber and proteins, and avoid fatty food or food rich in sugars. Incorporate a regular exercise plan into your daily schedule. Follow a regular and healthy lifestyle—all these should help you to reduce and maintain an overall good health.
